There has been significant controversy with regards to the idea of charging money for desktop widgets. I put time and effort into my creations, and I wish to make money from them. Or at least to try.
To soothe the naysayers, I am releasing the below widgets to the public domain. no rights are reserved; these are more liberal terms than any creative commons, gpl, or any other licensing agreement. All or most stephan.com widgets will come with a public domain version, as well as other versions that may or may not require payment.
There is no support for these widgets. All of them have a minimal user interface and all of the functionality - sometimes even more functionality - than my other widgets.

Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger is required. If you're using Safari, click the download link. When the widget download is complete, show Dashboard, click the Plus sign to display the Widget Bar and click the widget's icon in the Widget Bar to open it. If you're using a browser other than Safari, click the download link. When the widget download is complete, unarchive it and place it in /Library/Widgets/ in your home folder. show Dashboard, click the Plus sign to display the Widget Bar and click the widget's icon in the Widget Bar to open it.In the future, this page may also serve as a soapbox for writings and public email exchanges regarding copyright. I am exploring the limits of intellectual property, an interest of mine for some time. I welcome your emails discussing these matters.
