    • Managed product development of Epi-Viewtm medical imaging tool. Oversaw engineers at Picker International through implementation and optimization in C and ISO9000 certification.
    • Directed research projects with programmers and engineers at the University of Iowa, University of Illinois at Chicago and the GMD to create a user interface to a virtual reality environment.
    • Wrote drivers and converters to work with a wide variety of input and output devices, ranging from 3D input scanners to pre-press and film recorder output devices.
    • Wrote custom software and scripts to solve unusual compositing problems.
  • Directed modelers and animators working in Alias, SoftImage, Wavefront, Strata Studio, AVS and other packages for clients including Nintendo, Silicon Graphics, Nortel, IBM, Sega, Eli Lilly, Monsanto, Phillips, and Timex.   • Modeled and rendered images in Alias for Leo Burnett, Kodak, Nortel, Konami, Encyclopedia Britannica, Expo '92 Spanish Pavilion, Smithsonian Institution, and others.
    • Smithsonian Institution, Janet Annenberg Hooker Hall of Geology, Gems and Minerals 1997; This permanent installation provides a 10'x5'x5' display portraying an immersive three-dimensional view of the salt crystal for the new Hope Diamond exhibit. This project included modeling and rendering of scientific data, post-production planning, team management and on-site installation in Washington D.C.
  • Co-Inventor: Patents: #5,519,794 (1996); #5,330,799 & #5,554,432 (1994); #5,113,213 (1992), reissued 1995 as Re. 35,029: Developed new processes and improvements for digital hardcopy imaging techniques. Wrote and edited patents, communicated with patent attorneys and directly with USPTO examiners.
  • Documented exhibitions and research with video, Internet, and printed publications.
    • WWW Site Virtual Photography started June 1994. Received award Cool Site of the Day on March 22, 1995. Maintained Apache server on SGI.
    • Published papers and images in Computers & Graphics, Leonardo, and Proceedings of SPIE. See publications.
    • Co-directed and edited video documentation in Beta suite with computer controlled editing.
    • Presented papers and lectures and gave interviews to CNN, Beyond 2000, and The Chicago Tribune.
