c2

I’m embarrassed to say I’ve been anxiously awaiting the street availability of C2. Brought myself home a nice little 8 pack from Ralph’s.

Couldn’t wait for it to get cold to try it, so I’m having it heavily diluted with melty ice, which suits me fine. I’m actually rather a fan of warm, flat, watered down coke, it’s sort of my preferred AM beverage. Think of it as like tea, really, except tea is gross.

Anyway, I expect once I try it properly chilled, it’ll be about what I expected - like watered down coke, but with more caffeine kick (if you follow me), and right now it’s just like weaker coke - as I’ve grown older, I’ve found straight coke to be a little too syrupy (though I was raised on R.C. Cola, go figure)

It seems like it’s a winner, I expect I’ll be drinking this rather a lot.

The thing I find funny about all this… particularly funny… is a hundred years or so ago, the coke dude figured out how to sell bottled water with sugar, flavoring, and stimulant… and today, they figured out how to take out the sugar, the flavoring AND the stimulant, keep the water and the bottle, and charge MORE for it! (at school, a coke is $1, and Dasani is $1.25)

(update Sat AM: well, I’ve decided there is a very slight artificial sweetener aftertaste, apparently aspartame AND sucralose according to the ingredients… but not too bad, I can live with it, the real sugar cuts it down quite a lot)

Tell the masses all about it
